About the exam

 

Staff Selection Commission organises various National level exams every year. SSC CGL is organised every year by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for Group B and Group C posts in various departments and offices under the Indian Government. The posts can be like Assistant, Inspector, Assistant Section Officer, Auditor, Sub-Inspector, Junior Accountant, Tax Assistant, Assistant Account Officer, Upper Division Clerk, Junior Statistical Officer, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

 

  1. Nationality/ Citizenship

 

In order to be eligible for the SSC CHSL exam a candidate should be either of the following -:

 

  1. a) Citizen of India or
  2. b) Subject of Nepal or
  3. c) Subject of Bhutan or
  4. d) Tibetan Refugee who settled in India before January 1962 or
  5. e) A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia) Zaire and Vietnam came with an intention of permanently settling in India.




  1. Age Limit

 

Basically, the age should be between 18 years to 32 years but it varies according to the different posts.

Qualifications

 

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.

 

Physical Fitness
